LBS startup SalesGossip's funding hunt

Startup founders must have solid proof of concept before they seek funding – and be honest with themselves and balance their inherent optimism with pragmatism and common sense.

That’s the advice to other entrepreneurs seeking funding from SalesGossip chief executive Zabetta Camilleri, whose retail tech startup took seed then angel funding in 2012 and 2014.

Camilleri and Emilio Sanz, two MBAs from London Business School, founded SalesGossip in 2011. They were convinced that they could help retailers avoid what they saw as a scattergun approach to marketing their promotions.
